Pork chops, bacon and cheesy scalloped potatoes make a simple, family pleasing dinner in one dish.

More About This Recipe

  • Scalloped potatoes are most often paired with ham, but that’s not the only way to enjoy this dish. Pork chops and scalloped potatoes also make a dynamic duo, especially in this comforting one-dish dinner that takes only 20 minutes to prepare. This recipe calls for pork loin chops, which is a thin, lean cut of meat. They can be easily overcooked, which is why they are seared first on the stovetop and then finished in the oven. You’ll want to keep your kitchen thermometer handy and make sure the internal temperature of the chops reads 145°F when finished cooking. Check at the minimum time of baking and adjust from there as needed. Has this recipe turned you into a scalloped potatoes enthusiast? We have more recipes for you to try!
