Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 8 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 quart (4 cups) milk
- 1 package (6 oz.) frozen crabmeat, thawed
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- Sliced green onion, if desired
Instructions

Step1In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup sliced green onions; cook and stir until tender. Stir in flour, celery salt and pepper; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step2Gradually add milk, cooking and stirring constantly over medium heat until mixture is slightly thickened. Stir in crabmeat, cream and sherry; cook just until thoroughly heated, stirring frequently. Sprinkle individual servings with grene onions.
