Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups finely chopped peeled Granny Smith apples (about 2 medium)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- Cinnamon-sugar pita chips, if desired

Step1In 3-quart saucepan, mix apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and cinnamon. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat; boil 1 minute or until thickened, stirring constantly.

Step2Remove from heat; stir in butter until melted. Serve warm or cool with pita chips.
