Ingredients
- 1 box devil's food cake mix with pudding in the mix
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 container (12 oz) fluffy white whipped ready-to-spread frosting
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 4 drops green food color
- 24 thin rectangular crème de menthe chocolate candies, unwrapped, each cut in half crosswise
Instructions

Step1Heat oven to 350°F. Make cake mix into cupcakes as directed on box using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Step2In small bowl, reserve 1/2 cup frosting for garnish. Into remaining frosting, stir peppermint extract and food color until well blended. Frost cupcakes with green frosting.

Step3Spoon 1 teaspoon reserved white frosting onto center of each frosted cupcake. Decorate each with 2 candy pieces, standing on edge.
