Dark Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Ingredients
- 1 container (16 oz) fresh strawberries with leaves
- 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon shortening or vegetable oil
Instructions

Step1Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.

Step2Gently rinse strawberries; dry on paper towels (berries must be completely dry).

Step3In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and shortening uncovered on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.

Step4Dip lower three-fourths of each strawberry into chocolate mixture; allow excess to drip off into bowl. Place on cookie sheet.

Step5Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store covered in refrigerator.
