Chicken Cordon Bleu Melts

Ingredients

  • 8 frozen fully cooked breaded chicken breast strips
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
  • 4 (1/2-inch-thick) diagonal slices French bread (not baguette)
  • 1/4 cup purchased honey mustard salad dressing
  • 4 thin slices cooked ham
  • 4 (1-oz.) slices Swiss cheese, halved

Instructions

  • Step

    Heat oven to 400°F. Place chicken strips on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400°F. for 18 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly heated.

    Meanwhile, spread margarine on bread slices. Add bread to cookie sheet with chicken during last 10 minutes of cooking time.

    Spread dressing on each toasted bread slice. Top with chicken, half cheese slice, ham and another half cheese slice. Bake an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
