Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced halved onions
  • 2 teaspoons concentrated beef base
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 lb beef top round steak (1/2 inch thick), trimmed of fat, cut into serving-sized pieces

Instructions

    In Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet, combine all ingredients except beef; mix well. Place beef over tomato mixture. Bring to a boil.

    Stir gently. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is tender.
