    Heat oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, extending foil over edges; spray with cooking spray.

    Crumble cookie dough, and press evenly into bottom of pan.

    Bake 16 to 19 minutes or until set and edges are golden brown. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

    Remove bars from pan by lifting foil; peel foil away. Spread frosting on top of bar. Sprinkle crushed candies over top. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered in single layer at room temperature.

    To line pan with foil, turn pan upside down. Tear off a piece of foil longer than pan. Smooth foil around the pan bottom, then remove. Turn pan over, and gently fit shaped foil into pan. When bar is cooled completely, lift out of pan by foil “handles,” and peel back foil.

    Want more peppermint flavor? Add 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to crumbled cookie dough, and stir with spoon or hands until well blended.

    To easily crush peppermint candies, place unwrapped candies in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag, and use rolling pin to coarsely crush.
