This simple pasta skillet packs a surprising amount of flavor. Stir in your favorite herbs like oregano or basil at the end for an added flavor punch. Ingredients

  • 8 oz uncooked penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 links (about 1 lb) mild Italian sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 bag (14.4 oz) frozen pepper stir-fry vegetables
  • 1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ crushed tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Cook and drain pasta as directed on box.

    Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add sausage and garlic; cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is browned; drain.

    Stir in frozen stir-fry vegetables, tomatoes, garlic, Italian seasoning and salt; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until heated through. Stir in pasta; cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly heated.
