This cold veggie pizza is all ready to party when cut into small, bite-size portions—and you don’t have to worry about keeping it warm! How to Make Veggie Pizza

Our crescent veggie pizza is so easy to make! Before we get into the detailed instructions below, here’s a quick summary of the process in 5 easy steps.

Unroll and Bake

Unroll the crescent dough and place it on the pan, pressing the dough into the bottom of the pan and up the sides to form your pizza crust. Bake the crust until it’s golden brown, then let it cool completely before adding any veggie pizza toppings.

Stir and Spread Cream Cheese Mixture

Mix up the softened cream cheese, sour cream, dill, and garlic powder, then spread the mixture over your baked crescent crust. If you need to soften your cream cheese, just microwave it on High for 15 to 20 seconds or just until softened.

Because only the crust of this pizza is baked, you’ll want to stick to bite-sized or shredded veggies so they’re easy enough to chew. If you want to use veggies that are hard even when they’re bite-sized, you can just cook (or partially cook) them before adding them to your pizza.

Swirl in Some Extra Flavor: This crescent veggie pizza is super yummy as-is, but you can add a little something extra to your sour cream mixture for even more flavor. Try stirring in some crumbled cooked bacon, chopped green chiles, or pickled jalapeños.

Swap the Spread: Use a store-bought veggie or chip dip instead of the seasoned sour cream for a tasty twist on this cold veggie pizza. You’ll just need about 1 and 1/2 cups of any creamy seasoned dip, such as Buffalo chicken, taco, hummus, tzatziki, French onion, or bacon horseradish!

Storing Veggie Pizza

For a perfectly light, flaky crust and fresh-tasting toppings, we recommend serving this veggie pizza soon after making it. If you end up with leftovers, you can try placing individual pieces of veggie pizza in an airtight container—or tightly wrapping them in plastic wrap or foil—before storing them in the fridge for a day at most. For the most desirable texture on your pizza, we don’t recommend making it any more than 2 hours before serving, at which point the crust may start becoming soggy from the creamy spread. We also don’t recommend freezing this cold veggie pizza, as the cream cheese mixture and fresh veggies may become watery or grainy upon thawing and the crust may become soggy .

Want to save time on the day of your event? You can prep the ingredients for this veggie pizza in advance! Bake the crust the day before serving if you’d like. After the crust has cooled, wrap it in plastic wrap and store it at room temperature until you’re ready to assemble the pizza. You can also prep your veggie pizza toppings a day in advance. Combine the sour cream, dill and garlic powder ingredients in a bowl and tightly cover. Wash and chop the vegetables and seal in an airtight container. Store both in the fridge until assembly. Just before your guests arrive, stir together the softened cream cheese and sour cream mixture, spread it on your pizza, and sprinkle the pre-chopped and shredded veggies on top.

If you’d like, you can instead make the full pizza a couple of hours in advance. Just cover and refrigerate the finished pizza for up to 2 hours before serving. You don’t want to store it for any longer than that—the thick and creamy sour cream mixture will start softening the crust!
