Ingredients

  • 1 can (12.4 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Chocolate Chip flavored Sweet Biscuits with Icing (8 Count)
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate-flavored melting wafers
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped salted peanuts

Instructions

  • Step
    1
In small bowl, mix icing (from can of biscuits) and peanut butter with spoon. Shape into 8 (1 1/4-inch) balls; flatten each into 2-inch round. Set aside.
  • Step
    2
Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Press or roll each biscuit into 4-inch round.
  • Step
    3
Spray waffle maker with cooking spray; heat waffle maker.
  • Step
    4
Place 4-inch round in waffle maker 45 to 50 seconds or until light golden brown. Using fork, remove biscuit wafflette from waffle maker; place 1 flattened peanut butter round on just below center of cooked biscuit wafflette. Immediately fold wafflette in half, using fork to help fold over; press firmly on edge to help seal.
  • Step
    5
Place folded wafflette on cooling rack. Repeat cooking, filling and folding with remaining biscuits.
  • Step
    6
Place waxed paper or cooking parchment paper under cooling rack. Place chocolate wafers in small microwavable bowl; microwave uncovered on Medium (50%) 60 seconds; stir. Continue to microwave and stir in 30-second intervals until just about melted. In small bowl, place chopped peanuts. Dip rounded edge of each wafflette into melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip back into bowl, and then dragging on rim of bowl to remove excess. Dip wafflette into chopped peanuts. Place wafflette back on cooling rack. Repeat with remaining wafflettes.

Tips from the

Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Chocolate Peanut Butter Biscuit Wafflettes are best served warm.
  • tip 2
Wafflettes are fun to make, but cleanup isn’t always a breeze. To make cleaning your waffle iron easier, wrap a paper towel around the handle end of a wooden spoon or spatula. Push the paper towel end through the crevices in your waffle iron to easily clean up any cooked-on batter or residue.
  • tip 3
To make dipping the wafflettes easy, tip the bowl of melted chocolate at an angle so there is more in the bottom as you dip.
  • tip 4
Melting chocolate wafers takes patience. It’s best to microwave your wafers on Medium (50%) power, using short intervals, and stopping often to stir. Stop microwaving when wafers are mostly melted and only a few small pieces remain. The residual heat in the bowl means a...
  • tip 5
To ensure success with this recipe, be sure to cook the wafflettes just until they turn a light golden brown color. The wafflettes are most malleable while still hot and light golden brown, so be sure to immediately fold over after filling and press down with a fork to seal.
  • tip 6
No rolling pin? Try using your fingers to press out each biscuit to a 4-inch round. The wafflettes cook in no time, so it’s best to have peanut butter balls shaped and biscuits rolled out before starting to cook.
