More About This Recipe
- This incredible smothered chicken recipe calls for boneless, skinless chicken thighs, which are a favorite among many cooks for their flavor. However, if you prefer to cook with boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead of thighs, it is possible to make that swap in this recipe. Make sure you use the same weight amount that’s called for in the recipe (for this slow-cooker smothered chicken, that’s 20 oz) and keep in mind that chicken breasts might be a little drier than chicken thighs when cooked (but thanks to this creamy sauce, that shouldn’t affect the overall taste of this dish). Never get bored of chicken for dinner again by keeping this recipe and all of our other top-rated chicken recipes on hand. Hosting a big group or planning a meal for the holidays?
