Cake
- 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (8 Count)
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Topping
- 1 1/2 cups applesauce
- 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup
- 2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions

Step1Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch round or square cake pan with 1 tablespoon margarine. In small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, 1/2 cup applesauce and 2 tablespoons syrup; blend well.

Step2Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces; place in greased pan. Sprinkle raisins and pecans over biscuit pieces. Spoon applesauce mixture over raisins and pecans.

Step3Bake at 350°F. for 35 to 45 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 10 minutes.

Step4Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups applesauce and 1/2 cup syrup. Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated, stirring constantly.

Step5To serve, spoon warm cake into individual serving dishes. Spoon 1/4 cup applesauce mixture over each serving; top each with whipped topping. Store in refrigerator.
