About the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest
If you don’t already know, the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest is a national cooking contest where home chefs compete to create the very best recipes using Pillsbury products. The Contest celebrates beloved home recipes, the stories that inspire them, and the Pillsbury products that help make them possible. The Bake-Off dates all the way back to 1949, which was attended by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt herself.
Over the years, the Bake-Off has included additional challenges to drive chefs to think differently, such as in 2013, when all recipes were restricted to just eight ingredients, and thirty minutes of prep time. Or in 2022, when—for the first time in the contest’s history—entrants were not allowed to use their ovens. Any other cooking appliance was fair game in what came to be known as the “Pillsbury Ovens Off Bake-Off.”
In 2024, The Pillsbury Bake-Off will coincide with the holiday season, celebrating the cherished recipes that make the holiday season special. These recipes can inspire you as you think about your own recipe submission!
