Lemon treats are never a bad idea! With bright citrus and slightly sweet, tangy cream cheese, this lemon recipe is one of the best. The simple ingredients, easy instructions, and shareable portions make this dessert a great option for celebrations of any kind. Whether you want a summery dessert, easy breakfast, crowd-pleasing brunch, or a winter treat to celebrate citrus season, this bright lemon recipe is one to save!

Recipe Ingredients

A few baking basics help this delicious dessert come together quickly.

Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet or Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls: Premade dough makes this recipe extra easy to assemble. A dough sheet is easy because it lacks seams, but crescent rolls work, too.

Cream Cheese: Cream cheese gives the recipe a nice creaminess and adds subtle sweetness to the filling.

Lemon Zest/Lemon Juice: This is the key flavor for the dish. Lemon is bright, zesty, and a fan favorite. If desired, you can swap the lemon flavor for orange or lime.

Other Ingredients You’ll Need: Granulated sugar is key for sweetening the filling of this recipe, and it should dissolve when the filling is prepared. Milk and powdered sugar create a glaze for the top of the ring that adds a sweet finishing touch to the dessert.

How to Make Lemon-Cream Cheese Crescent Ring

This is a simple recipe that creates a delicious dessert! When you’re ready to bake, see the full instructions.

1. Prepare Baking Sheet

Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.

2. Mix the Filling

Mix the cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice until well blended.

3. Fill the Dough

Unroll the dough sheet. Spread cream cheese mixture on the rectangle, leaving 1/2 inch on the edges.

4. Cut the Dough and Arrange

Roll up the dough along the long side and pinch the edge to seal. Cut the rolled dough into 12 slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet in a circle, overlapping slightly.

5. Bake, Glaze, and Serve

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°F. While the dough is baking, mix the glaze ingredients until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle the glaze over the warm crescent ring and serve.

How to Store (and Reheat) Lemon-Cream Cheese Crescent Ring

If you have leftovers, it’s important to store them safely so that you can eat them later!

Countertop Storage

Do not store leftovers on the counter since there is cream cheese in the filling.

Refrigerator Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Freezer Storage

We do not recommend storing leftovers in the freezer. Doing so may cause the crescent dough to lose its texture.

Reheating

You can eat leftovers warm or cold. If you want to warm them, put them in the microwave for only a few seconds—any longer and the glaze will melt.
